DMAS Executes CCC Plus Contracts with 6 MCOs; Final Contract Made Public
On February 9 the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) announced it has signed contracts with six managed care organizations (MCOs) to provide managed long term services and supports (MLTSS, also referred to as CCC Plus) in all six regions of Virginia (click here to see map). Implementation will begin in the Tidewater Region on August 1, 2017. DMAS has also made the final version of the CCC Plus contract available.
The MCOs awarded contracts include:
- Aetna Better Health of Virginia
- Anthem HealthKeepers Plus
- Magellan Complete Care of Virginia
- Optima Health
- United Healthcare
- Virginia Premier Health Plan
In its Stakeholder Update for February, DMAS noted that it received comments from 28 stakeholder on the draft contract. VHCA-VCAL was among the commenters. DMAS has created a summary table that details how the comments were incorporated into the final contract. Staff will review the contract and the summary table to determine how the agency chose to address the VHCA-VCAL comments.
