Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 1/22—Met with staff of the Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee to discuss Medicaid and budget priorities.
• 1/22—Met with Sen. Ghazala Hashmi (D-Chesterfield) to discuss legislative priorities.
• 1/23—Met with Del. Mark Sickles (D-Springfield) to discuss legislative priorities.
• 1/23—Attended the Senate Education and Health and the House Health and Human Services Committee meetings.
• 1/24—Met with Del. Keith Hodges (R-Urbanna) to discuss legislative priorities.
• 1/24—Hosted the third session of the Pulling Together the Significant Revisions of the LTC Survey Process Webinar Series.
• 1/24—Met with DMAS to discuss Value Based Purchasing Program issues.
