Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of March 27, 2023.  

• 3/28—Met with DMAS leaders to discuss the Value-Based Purchasing Program.
• 3/29—Attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new memory care neighborhood at Heatherwood Retirement Community.
• 3/29—Met with DMAS to discuss MDS issues.
• 3/30—Hosted a meeting of the Quality of Care and Regulatory Committee.
