- There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
- The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.
Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of May 13, 2024.
- 5/13—Participated in the AHCA/NCAL biweekly call for state affiliate staff.
- 5/14—The VHCA-VCAL Board of Directors held its quarterly meeting.
- 5/14—Keith Hare participated on a panel hosted by the health law section of the Virginia Bar Association to discuss the 2024 session.
- 5/15—Attended a stakeholder meeting with the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, the Medical Society of Virginia, and others to discuss the medical malpractice cap.
- 5/16—Attended the Virginia Public Access Project’s “Lighten Up, It’s Just Politics!” luncheon.
- 5/16—Attended the monthly AHCA/NCAL call for state public relations staff.
- 5/16-17—April Payne attended the Vaccine Access Cooperative – Association of Immunization Managers event in Atlanta, GA.
