Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 10/24—Attended a political fundraiser for Rep. Ben Cline (R-VA-06).
• 10/25—Hosted a webinar for VHCA-VCAL Pledge Partners.
• 10/25—Hosted a meeting of the Convention & Trade Show Committee.
• 10/25—Participated in a political fundraiser for Sen. Lynwood Lewis (D-Accomack).
• 10/26—Held a meeting of our Long Term Care Facility Workforce Workgroup.
• 10/27—Participated in a political fundraiser for Del. Keith Hodges (R-Middlesex).
• 10/27—Hosted a virtual meeting for the Tidewater District during which April Payne discussed the Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Screening process.
• 10/28—Hosted the Richmond District meeting at which April Payne provided an update on the LTSS Screening
