Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

Take a look at our outreach and advocacy work for the week of October 2, 2023.  

• 9/30-10/1—Attended the Long Term Care Meeting Planners meeting.
• 10/1—Attended NCAL Day at the AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo.
• 10/1-4—Attended the Delivering Solutions 23 – AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo in Denver.
• 10/2—Participated in the Society of Long Term Care Communicators and NCAL State Affiliate meetings.
• 10/3—Participated in a forum for government, business, healthcare, and education leaders on workforce issues convened by the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation.
