Have you been wondering about how to get involved in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program and showcase your commitment to leadership and quality? Here are four ways you can engage with the program.
- Submit an Intent to Apply Application: Demonstrate your dedication to quality by submitting an Intent to Apply (ITA) for the 2025 Quality Award!

- Applicants who submit an ITA will save on the overall application fee and receive exclusive resources from program staff.
- The ITA deadline is November 14, 2024 at 8 pm ET.
- Sign up for a one of VHCA-VCAL’s complimentary workshops to walk you through the respective award criteria and help you get a jump start on writing your AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award application. You’ll get advice on how to draft successful responses as you continue the quality journey.

- Bronze Quality Award Training and Writing Workshop | October 29, 2024
- Silver Quality Award: Understanding the Criteria & Getting Started | October 30, 2024
- Become an Examiner: Gain a deeper understanding of the program criteria by serving as a Silver or Gold Examiner. Volunteering offers training on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Criteria, CEUs, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with other professionals. - The deadline to apply to be an examiner is November 7, 2024, at 5:00 pm ET.
- Join the Quality Award Board: The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board is seeking self-nominations for their upcoming election. The deadline to submit self-nominations is November 1, 2024. This 12-member board oversees the strategic direction and critical functions of the program. For more information, visit the Board’s website.
Selection criteria:

- Expertise in continuous quality improvement and the long term and post-acute care field.
- Experience and commitment to the Quality Award Program or similar initiatives.
- Diversity in background, experience, and representation.
