The official version of the Standards for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities effective February 1, 2018 have been posted on the Department of Social Services (DSS) website.  Today DSS also provided VHCA-VCAL with a new version of the agency’s training document on the standards as well as an updated version of the Definitions – Reference & Comparison Chart.  Agency officials have informed VCAL that it is nearing completion on a Question and Answer document following the regional provider training sessions.  We will relay that information as soon as it is available. 

As a reminder, DSS will not begin assessment for compliance until April 1, 2018.
