DMAS Issues CCC Plus Update

Cindi Jones, Director of the Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), has issued a memo to providers on the Commonwealth Coordinated Care (CCC) Plus program, the department’s forthcoming managed long term services and supports (MLTSS) program.  The memo summarizes information previously released by DMAS on CCC Plus implementation—background, plan selection, regional adoption timeline, and more.  Of note the memo includes information on contracting and credentialing requirements.

The six CCC Plus health plans (Aetna Better Health of Virginia, Anthem HealthKeepers Plus, Magellan Complete Care of Virginia, Optima Health Plan, UnitedHealthcare, and Virginia Premier Health Plan) are working with providers to finalize their provider contracts. Because DMAS requires the health plans to credential their providers, which may take 90 days or more to complete, DMAS encourages providers who have not already contracted with the plans to begin the credentialing and contracting process as soon as possible.

The memo also includes information on the contracting and credentialing contacts for each CCC Plus managed care plan.
