James Dunton Distinguished Service Award for Lifetime Achievement
Betty DeOrnellas, Administrator of Sentara MeadowView Terrace, who has devoted her career to long term care and the service of others.
Nursing Facility Administrator of the Year
John Sevier of Carriage Hill Health and Rehab Center, who led a turn-around effort at the center building a culture of caring for residents and their families.
Assisted Living Administrator of the Year
Sarah Pearson of The Villa at Suffield Meadows, who has been a champion for resident engagement with staff since it opened in 2010.
Director of Nursing of the Year
Darlene Griffin of Brandon Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center, a servant leader who has given her entire life to improving the quality of care in long term care.
Certified Nursing Assistant of the Year
Susan Wright of Heritage Hall – Brookneal, who is known for her going beyond what is expected of her to provide compassionate care to her residents.
Group Volunteers of the Year
Orange County Master Gardeners, who have led and supported the Horticultural Therapy program at Dogwood Village of Orange County for over 20 years.
Adult Volunteer of the Year
Pam Bayse, who has volunteered at The Oaks Assisted Living Facility at Richfield Living for 19 years assisting with the weekly Chapel Ministry and leading the residents in making floral centerpieces each week used in the dining room.
Teen Volunteer of the Year
Sterling Hall, a 17-year old who shares his musical talent by playing the piano for the residents at Brandon Oaks.
