Periodic Review of DSS General Procedures and Licensure Rules Underway

DSS is conducting is routine periodic review of 22VAC40-80, General Procedures and Information for Licensure.  The purpose of this review is to determine whether this regulation should be repealed, amended, or retained in its current form. VHCA-VCAL does not intend to submit any comments.

DSS is seeking public comment on the review of any issue relating to this regulation, including whether the regulation:

  1. is necessary for the protection of public health, safety, and welfare or for the economical performance of important governmental functions;
  2. minimizes the economic impact on small businesses in a manner consistent with the stated objectives of applicable law; and
  3. is clearly written and easily understandable.

The public comment period began on November 25, 2019 and ends on December 16, 2019.
