New Legislative Leaders and Committee Assignments

Democrats will lead both the House of Delegates and the Virginia Senate following the 2019 elections. The House is divided 55 Democrats to 45 Republicans. In the Senate Democrats hold 21 seats to 19 Republicans. With these changes, new caucus leaders and committee chairs have been appointed in both chambers.
