Conferees Set to Deliberate on Budget Differences

capitol building on a sunny dayTwelve senior legislators have been appointed to work out the differences between the House of Delegates and Senate of Virginia budget proposals. Today VHCA-VCAL communicated with each of the conferees, as well as the House Appropriations and Senate Finance and Appropriations Committee staff,  thanking them for the continued investment in nursing facilities but expressing support for the Senate’s approach because it has a broader positive impact on providers, and ultimately, residents.

The budget conferees are (legislators whose names are bold have been designated to negotiate the health care issues in the budget):

At present it appears as though the General Assembly will complete its work on the budget over the coming week and meet its target adjournment date of March 7.
