Collaboration During the Pandemic Marks 2021 National Skilled Nursing Care Week

Collaboration During the Pandemic Marks 2021 National Skilled Nursing Care Week

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, the 2021 National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW) theme, “Together Through the Seasons,” celebrates that skilled care centers and their staff have shown an incredible and steadfast commitment to providing quality care and ensuring the safety of their residents.

NSNCW 2021, held May 9-15, will focus on this collective effort and the amazing strength and dedication of those who work tirelessly every day to care for and protect frail elders and those with disabilities in long term care. “With each new season come new beginnings, new strategies, and new information. Together, we will get through this, and together we will begin to heal,” AHCA said.

AHCA established its nursing care week in 1967, with each such week starting on Mother’s Day and celebrated through the following Saturday.

To help celebrate, AHCA has provided graphics, suggested activities, and specially designed products around the week’s theme. Leading up to NSNCW, centers are encouraged to plan special events for staff, residents, and families. During the week, AHCA encourages providers to share their NSNCW activity ideas, photos, videos, and messages via Facebook and Twitter using #NSNCW.
