Gov. Ralph Northam has announced new appointees and reappointments to the Board of Long Term Care Administrators, which include VHCA-VCAL members. The Board regulates nursing facility and assisted living facility administrators and preceptors.

VHCA-VCAL extends it congratulations to the new and reappointed directors who include:

• Ashley B. Jackson, LNHA, MBA* of Chesapeake, Senior Executive Director, Retirement Unlimited Inc.
• Lisa Kirby of Suffolk, Executive Director, LLH Nursing Facilities, Riverside Health System
• Pam Dukes of Fincastle, Retired
• Jenny Inker* of Williamsburg, Assistant Professor and Co-Director, Assisted Living Administration Specialty Area, College of Health Professions Department of Gerontology, Virginia Commonwealth University
• Ann L. Williams of Henrico, Retired Interim Dean of Instruction, Germanna Community College

Two other VHCA-VCAL members serve on the Board of Long Term Care Administrators:

• Chair Martha Hunt, Director of Resident Services & Marketing, Riverside Healthy Living Community
• Mitchell P. Davis, Regional Vice President of Operations, Saber Healthcare Group, LLP

The board also issues guidance documents that provide information for the public to interpret or implement statutes and the agency’s rules or regulations. Topics covered by the guidance documents include qualifications for licensure and continuing education requirements.
