2018 MDS Changes

At the MDS program Judy W. Brandt will:

• explain the coding instructions for the October RAI manual changes;
• review the new skilled nursing facility Quality Reporting System (SNF QRP) measures and the related new MDS items;
• examine the coding and scheduling changes for the New Patient Driven Payment Model (PDPM)–the proposed update to the existing RUG-IV system; and
• provide any other relevant CMS updates.

Award-winning dementia care specialist and occupational therapist Heather McKay of Partnerships for Health will focus on three areas to help you provide the right personalized approaches to dementia care. She will address the ABCs of dementia, how to recognize changes in an individual with dementia, and how to reduce falls in dementia caregiving.
