CCC Plus Implementation: Ongoing Outreach to DMAS and MCOs

CCC Plus Implementation: Ongoing Outreach to DMAS and MCOs

“Please don’t go it alone if you are having difficulty with CCC Plus,” Tammy Whitlock, DMAS Division Director for Integrated Care advised VHCA-VCAL members at the Legislative Conference.  As part of the conference Whitlock, DMAS Deputy Director of Complex Care Karen Kimsey, and VCHA-VCAL’s Steve Ford provided updates on how CCC Plus issues are being resolved.  Ford offered details about known claims issues members are experiencing with each managed care organization (MCO) under CCC Plus.

Remember to use the CCC Plus Issue Log to share your feedback on implementation problems.  The Issue Log is designed to help track and resolve member problems with CCC Plus.  To comply with HIPAA, please do not include any personal health information (PHI) when using the Issue Log or any other communication with VHCA.

VHCA-VCAL continues to hold regular conference calls with each of the six MCOs and DMAS to discuss progress in resolving claims and other issues.

As challenges with the program persist, VHCA-VCAL President and CEO Keith Hare and Ford will meet with Gov. Ralph Northam today (February 23) to discuss issues that need immediate attention to reach resolution.  These issues include transportation, claims adjudication, lack of communication with care coordinators, and lack of certain types of providers.  VHCA-VCAL has also requested a meeting with new DMAS Director Dr. Jennifer Lee.
