CMP Reinvestment Funds Available for Air Quality Improvements
Nursing facilities can still apply for Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) Reinvestment Program funds to improve indoor air quality.
- A facility may request the use of CMP Reinvestment funds for in-person visitation aids (e.g., indoor portable fans, indoor portable air cleaners with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA, H13 or -14) filters to increase or improve air quality).
- A maximum use of $3,000 per facility including shipping costs may be requested.
- Expenses incurred on or after the release of Memorandum QSO-20-39-NH FAQ Revised, February 2, 2022 are eligible for reimbursement.
How to apply: CMS created a template to enable states to approve requests that meet CMS parameters without CMS review.
- Read the full parameters in the instructions on the template.
- Check out these FAQs for more helpful information.
- Applications should include the current NPI# for payment processing as well as note if the facility receives Medicaid reimbursements.
