Lt. Col. Authur Dean MoenLieutenant Colonel Arthur Moen grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa and studied at Omaha University for two years. During his time at Omaha University he washed airplanes for the airport in exchange for flying lessons. After graduating, he enlisted in the Army and was a Master Army Aviator. He lived in France with his family for three years and served two combat tours in Vietnam wherehe ferried wounded soldiers from the front lines to the hospital on a daily basis. He won various awards and distinctions during his career including a Purple Heart and an Air Medal for Meritorious Achievement in a combat aerial flight over Korea. He now is enjoying his retirement at The Hamilton and loves sharing his stories with staff and residents.
