Mr. Sam Ayoub moved into The Towers in 2018 to get stronger with rehab. His main goal was to get back to living on his own with no assistance. Accepting help was tough for him especially, since he was a former athletic trainer for the Atlanta Braves. He served with the club for 40 years and was named the Athletic Trainer of the Year in 1991.
Thankfully, he did not give up. After a year of living at The Towers, Mr. Ayoub is now walking on his own with a rollator.
In 2019, Mr. Ayoub was featured in the Richmond Times-Dispatch for his hard work and dedication as a trainer. He also partnered with a local tailor to design the uniforms for the Richmond Braves, now called the Flying Squirrel, and the VCU RAMS.
