2025–2026 Nursing Home Report Reveals Lower Turnover
What to know: Turnover is on the decline across many nursing home departments, according to the newly released 2025–2026 Nursing Home Salary & Benefits Report, published by Hospital & Healthcare Compensation Service (HCS) and supported by AHCA.
- This year’s results show the most significant turnover drop among top-level executives, falling from 31.97 percent in 2024 to 22.12 percent in 2025.
- CNAs, while still reporting the highest turnover, saw a decrease from 44.16 percent to 42.34 percent.
- Turnover also declined for RNs, LPNs, dining, environmental services, and administrative staff.
Other key findings in this just released national report featuring data from 917 nursing homes representing over 111,600 employees include:
- Sign-on bonus usage dropped from 65.44 percent to 55.61 percent.
- Salary trend rates decreased across RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- The report includes data on 102 positions, 19 fringe benefits, salary projections, shift differentials, and more – segmented by state, region, bed size, and profit type.
