In the News: Hare Pens Letter to Editor Decrying Attack Ads
In response to the recent attack ads targeting members, VHCA-VCAL President and CEO Keith Hare wrote a letter to the editor to the Chesterfield Observer, which has run two ads directed at three members. In defense of members Hare wrote, “The WWII veterans, retired teachers, farmers, doctors, homemakers and business people who receive care in Virginia’s nursing centers do not deserve to have their caregivers targeted in this way. These individuals strive every day to provide the best possible care to patients who are frail, elderly, or recuperating from a recent hospitalization. They deserve praise, not condemnation.”
