The deadline for opting into the Pharmacy Partnership Program was November 6, 2020. As of noon last Friday, VDH knew a significant number of long term care facilities (LTCFs) had yet to complete the survey. 

To ensure Virginia’s facilities are provided the opportunity to take advantage of this program, VDH partnered with HHS to opt in all Virginia nursing homes and assisted living facilities that had not yet completed the survey. 

Please note, this action does not bind any facility to program participation, nor does it assign a facility to a specific pharmacy partner. Rather, this action was taken to ensure as many of Virginia’s LTCFs are contacted and placed in the queue if and when the program kicks off and the facility wishes to participate.

What is most important at present is that your facility is registered for the program. You can review your selection as follows:

• SNFs can review their data in NHSN by going in through the calendar view.
• ALFs can review their selection in REDCap using the unique code that the facility received when the form was initially completed.
