Advocacy is a year-round job.

• There’s much more to advocacy than lobbying during the General Assembly session.
• The meetings and outreach we conduct with legislators, agency officials, and other stakeholders beyond session have lasting impact on our ability to be effective advocates for our members.

• 4/10—RUI’s The Westmont at Short Pump and William Fralin hosted a tour for NCAL Executive Director LaShuan Bethea and NCAL Vice President, Operations Katherine Preede.
• 4/11—57 individuals attended the Assisted Living Symposium.
• 4/11—Met with DMAS to discuss rebasing issues.
• 4/11—Attended the monthly AHCA/NCAL PDPM Workgroup meeting.
• 4/11—Participated in the Virginia Nurses Association’s monthly workgroup meeting on access to mental health.
