On December 16, the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) began distribution of the Phase 3 Provide Relief Funding, which includes $1.1 billion for long term care facilities. The funding is being used to satisfy close to 90 percent of each applicant’s reported lost revenues and net change in expenses caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the first half of 2020.

“We greatly appreciate HHS distributing this crucial funding to nursing homes and assisted living communities,” Mark Parkinson, AHCA/NCAL President and CEO stated.

“Since it will likely take months to vaccinate our population, these payments give our providers a fighting chance to battle this horrible virus and keep our doors open.”
