Remember, the survey process was revised in 2017 to focus on data and organizational outcomes with many updates since then.

October 29, 2025 | Data Driven Enforcement Decisions: The New Regulatory Era for LTC
For many years, CMS has been preparing LTC leaders for the use of data and how it will impact regulatory, clinical, and financial outcomes. The new regulatory era of data driven decisions is here. This session will provide an overview of the use of organizational data in the regulatory process and how leaders can leverage their information for survey preparedness. An overview tool/guide will be provided for you to use within your facility to prepare for survey.
October 30, 2025 | Survey Enforcement Remedies: DPNA, DPOC, CMP, TM, and More!
The enforcement guidelines for survey responses have not drastically changed, however the increased use of these by remedies by State Survey Agencies and CMS has changed. This session will provide you with an overview of the most common remedies enforced and how they impact providers. Thomson will review tools that will serve as a need-to-know guide should your organization receive an enforcement remedy.
November 6, 2025 | Preparation Is Key: An Administrator and DON Approach to Compliance
With the updated Requirements of Participation being in place for a while, it is time for the NHA and DON to take a system-by-system review of key processes leading to compliance and quality outcomes. This engaging session will provide you with key strategies and tools for compliance and process improvement. Thomson will review a “Leader’s Guide to Compliance Checklist,” outlining key steps to implement for survey preparedness.
November 7, 2025 | Navigating iQIES Reports: A Guide for Operational and Clinical Leaders
CMS generates many reports and data, leaving leaders overwhelmed and not knowing where to turn. This engaging session will help operational and clinical leaders navigate through the iQIES Reports that serve as a foundation for survey preparedness. You will learn where to find the iQIES reports that can be used for regulatory preparedness, and how to use the reports to improve operational, clinical, and financial outcomes.
