Virginia Rural Health Funding Summit Set for September 23

Virginia Rural Health Funding Summit Set for September 23

The September 23 Virginia Rural Health Summit is designed to identify information technology (IT) and infrastructure funding needs of rural health care providers while connecting those providers with possible funding sources.  The event will be hosted by the U.S Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Virginia Rural Development office in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Virginia Department of Health.

USDA has stated its goal is to expand health funding to rural hospitals and clinics throughout Virginia. This collaborative event will assist in streamlining and improving the effectiveness of federal programs serving rural Virginia by helping rural health care providers leverage the full suite of USDA and HHS programs.
