Members Gather in Richmond for the Convention & Trade Show

Tremendous energy, fantastic speakers, and excitement about being together were the hallmarks of the 2022 Convention & Trade Show.

  • Over 260 members gathered in Richmond for the event.
  • Members enjoyed camaraderie, took part in engaging education sessions, and networked with exhibitors.

 

Keith Hare, VHCA-VCAL president and CEO, commented, “Everyone expressed gratitude for having gotten through the last three years and is thankful to be looking forward. We’re so glad to have provided this opportunity for members to be together.”  

Keynote speaker highlights included:

  • Inky Johnson inspired attendees with a great message about never forgetting why you show up to do what you do.
  • Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of AHCA/NCAL, praised Virginia for its advocacy results and outlined upcoming policy and advocacy goals for the national association. 
  • Steven Littlehale reminded providers to use their quality data to make your clinical and financial stakeholders listen.
  • Scott Friedman had everyone laughing while emphasizing the importance of gratitude and humor in our everyday lives.
  • Kristen Brown shared unconventional tools and tips to energize the work environment.

 

Other highlights included:

  • Great speakers offered attendees the chance to earn 12+ hours of NAB-approved continuing education.
  • The Trade Show at which 100+ exhibitors spent time discussing their products and services with provider members.
  • Fundraising for the Regirer Nursing Scholarships to help offer future scholarships to individuals who want to further their nursing education.
  • Election of the association officers and election of new members of the Board of Directors for the 2023 term.
