DSS issued a memo providing two updates on legislation passed by the General Assembly earlier this year. Legislation on visitation by clergy and processing and dispensing of medical cannabis take effect on July 1. According to the memo, the agency will be updating the Standards for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities to incorporate the new clergy visitation requirements; regulatory action is not needed for the cannabis law changes.
